Hi folks, bought a Yaris t-spirit 2003 this weekend,has steering wheel audio controls,I want to fit my JVC KD-G402 cd-mp3 player to it but will I be able to link to the OE wiring?

Rang JVC who advertise an adaptor but they have never made one to sell !!,they said "try and see if it will fit" but is there a chance of blowing anything if I try and it does not work ? there is a lead off the back of the headunit which is the wiring for wheel controller,looks a bit like a small female headphone cable.

I had unit this in my previous yaris and do not want to buy another as this works very nicely.
