i've had another email from these folk with more details

they now are doing a drag strip start -finish strait to redgate corner.

and are looking for a fast car from each club to do it,

its £25 to enter (covers insurance) and if your the quickest of the clubs, you win £250.

Anyone going up M1 way?

If so, I'll be heading up that way.

If the event starts at 9am, I'll probably leave at about 7:00am from my place,a nd should get the M69/ M1 services on M1 northbound at approx 7:45am.

Is that Leicester Forest East (Northbound M1) just north of the M69/M1 Junction 21 that you mean?

I will be going past that way..............but will not need an hour and a quarter to get to Donnington Park from LFE as it is only 20 miles away. :D
