Hi, birthday coming up soon, does anyone recommend a satellite navigation system and if so, which one?

I'm a new -ish driver with no sense of direction! Drive locally, no prob, but would love to drive further afield............

i have a tomtom go, all believe me i put it thru its paces on saturday night. me and a mate went for a drive round london. never been before and it took us to all the land marks no proplem.

where do ppl put there satnav, i got tomtom on my pda dont know where to put it, seems awkard in all positions :S

i along with clarky on here, have a garmin quest, cant fault the little thing, very very good, its taken me all over the country no problems

as for mounting, mines positioned on the right of the speedo pod right next to it, so i can check speed and sat nav all at onces rather than having to look in two diff areas for the info i want !

I have a tomtom 5 on a handheld Ipaq palm its brilliant, 3D as well. Got it of egay

Just thought I have my Birthday at the end of the year and my parents have been asking me what to get but I couldnt think of anything..hmm maybe I can add a Sat-Nav to the possibility list ;)

Very expensive though.....so I guess the Tom Tom with the speed camera downloads (Cheap on ebay) is probabaly the best bet!

If you could get the Corolla full colour Sat Nav in the Yaris it would sooo be mine..... but you cant unfortunately....

That Road Angel one looks good though!
