Hi guys.

I want to paint my cam cover (i have a spare)

I want to paint a red and white jap flag on it, i have seen this done before at shows.. does anyone know the best way or best product to use?

Or shall i get a professional to do it?

Any help would be great!

I got mine powdercoated by a mate as it's a lot more durable, don't see any reason why they couldn't powdercoat white then mask off and do it red

i did my old car with heat resistand paint myself , but that was plain black , maybe u could get it powered coated white and paint the flag on as im not sure if u get it powered coated that the paint may melt if u try and powder coat on top ?? if u got a spare give it ago your self , just make sure u use heat resistant paint!

as log as you clean it thoroughly and use an acid etch primer , you can use ordinary car paint. be careful though as the red will tend to bleed into the white

Wow - way to drag up an old thread! :D

Did my entire bike engine in Smoothrite (Or Hammerite Smooth, as it's known) Gloss Black. It's now shiny, oh so shiny..... :D

USA Automotive do a nice line in crinkle finish paint (red or black) for that Honda Type-R look.
