Hi all - i'm getting rid of my old Nokia 6230 but i need help resetting it back to factory defaults - i've copied all the contents off.

does anyone know the security code?

It's normally 12345 isn't it? It was on my Orange one.

if you have a cable programs like Logomanager will read out the security code for you.

The default for that nokia is "12345" though

You could try generating a master reset code. Try this website:

Here's the info to reset the code using a cable - I think yours is a DCT4 phone??

cheers Sotal - i tried the pay to unlock thing & it said it had successfully generated the unlock code & then promply displayed no code :-(

might have to try the cable

Edit - just tried this site http://nfader.z-host.ru/ & it worked a treat.

I'd try and get your money back from the pay one though
