Gps Software..

Hi all,

can anyone recommend some GPS mapping software for the PC?

I've got a USB powered Receiver & i'm using Autoroute 2005 at the moment.

I'm looking for software as close to TomTom as possible with 3D display & voice warnings also POI entry if possible.

I've also tried Via Mapsonic but the arrival & destination entry is a real pain.

Any help greatly appreciated

I'm not sure, but I'm convinved I read that the paid up version of google earth supports GPS. No voice directions though, just similar to what's in Autoroute as far as I know.

the destinator 3 software is very good to go for then mate, I used to have it running on my in car pc in my old car and it always worked well. Hope that helps

If you are lookng for a copy cat of TomTom3 may I suggest looking for a Windows Mobile emulator, ie tricking your pc it is a PDA.

hmm, never thought of trying that one Robie..

Cheers Flamby - been looking into the Destinator packages & authough it does work on PC's you need to buy the SDK kit as well as the software & then "hack" the software with the SDK kit.

@ Dazwan, yep Google earth has GPS but its way too expensive & the English maps arn't as accurate & about 3-4 years old
