hi guys i oy a 98 corolla with 4afe in it. i plan to put an fse power boost valve on it in 9 days but would like to know if any1 has done it before or knows any body that has. if so were there any gains and basically is it worth £86. also does anybody know the difference between the fse and the ecotec power boost valves. apart from the ecotec being £60 less. also some1 told me to stay away from the ecotec and get the fse but didn't say why?? please help, all advice is welcomed. :help:

FSE is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. To use it properly you need to know your existing fuel pressure so you can set the adjustable one the same. I tried one on my 4A-GZE but wasn't happy with it so sold it. For more info have a look here for some more info.

I have a FSE valve and Ecotek valve, the ecotek valve creats turbulance in the air mixture, give you better mpg and smoother running, however set up wrong, like mine was until i had it on a rolling road it dropped 10bhp, no bull. Anyways since then i fitted the FSE valve, like said above this is a adjustable fuel regulator, set up correct, which i suggest you do (or something could go bang) I saw a gain of 6bhp, but i run a very rich mixture on my corolla. Oh by the way i have the 4efe engine so if i was getting a gain like that then I'll be intrested to see what the 4afe gets, hope that helps

you can see the FSE valve its the little thing attached by the turret with the red hose coming out of it and the Ecotek valve is that little gold thing u can see just over from the FSE valve ;) ;)

is wont come set up, by ordering it to your engine code, means you just get the right adaptor to fit it to the fuel rail, setting up envolves turning the screw at the top of it, however turning it too much and you'll be running rich where as to little would defeat the odject of having it, its a fine line, hence why i took mine to my local rolling road and have it set up there.

Sorry about any spelling, i woke up two mins ago ;)
