Central Locking

Iam trying to fit a remote control central locking upgrade to my P Reg Carina E but I am having trouble finding the door lock control switch. Don't know if I'm being a bit thick or not but is it in the switches in the drivers door?? any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi, I am trying to do the same. In principle it is the switch in the drivers door but is difficult to put the wires from the remote control central locking unit there. The switch is also wired to a connector located under the driver side cowl cover. Unfortunately I was not able to find the proper wire even if I have the "Haynes" technical manual. I will try once more next week end. If I will have succes I will tell you.
