My headlight motor seems to be stuck or constantly trying to change the angle my lights shine. Anyone know how to fix this or just stop the motor churning away!!!

Replace the headlight unit...........(Quite expensive) or disconnect the adjuster wiring (possible problem at MOT time)

must be a short or water getting in somewhere

pop the light out, its a triangular plug about 2inches long, check its all clean an no seals are bust

Is it churning in every position? It sounds like its trying to adjust the angle but the light isn’t moving.

Try turning the adjustment dial and stop in each position to see if the motor stops, this could be a temporary fix without the motor burning out.

It happened to a guy at work on a Ford, when he turned the dial on level 1 the motor stopped churning, when he tried to adjust the lights to level 3 the motor wouldn’t stop.

so disconnecting the button on the dash should stop the motor right? how would this have an effect on the MOT?

It will fail ..... my yaris failed it's 1st MOT @ Mr T because of the alignment of the headlights.

They couldn't be adjusted so Mr T replaced the whole unit free of charge under warranty
