2005 Rav4 Dvd Help!

Hi all!

I'm a real newbie to this. I have just bought a RAV4 XTR and i'm wanting to swap out the double din cd unit for a double din DVD system. Two questions really,

1: Which head units fit?

2: Will an adapter be required or will they just slot in?

Any help would be great...

The Kenwood DDX6027 is supposedly a very good unit and only minor trimming on the sides would be necessary.

Quick question for you Prince,

I have installed the Kenwood DDX7025 headunit and also Alpine spr-17lp Speakers to front and rear (I believe you reccommend them somewhere in the forum). On your list you have tweeters as well as the Alpines, are these the Toyota tweeters or do you have an alternative solution.

Any help would be great!!

The Tweeters are the Toyota ones they were fitted when I bought the car, before I thought of replacing the car Speakers but to be honest they are not really necessary as you have fitted some good quality sparkers that already have tweeters, so fitting the extra tweeters will just increase the high pitch of the music even further, you can find information regarding the Toyota tweeters is here:

Here is a link to the image of my ddx7025, it almost fit with a small amount of modding needed around the sides. I used aluminium mesh for this, I think it looks ok???!!

Prince, many thanks for the quick reply and for your guidance whilst modding my rav.
