Solid Front Axle Leaking

anyone have an exploded view of the front solid axle components, i have a leak at the back of the hub on the "ball" (on a landrover its known as the tracta seal)

anyone able to help with the info...

and my bloomin shocks are leaking...... :wacko:

I have an exploded view of that. I got it from Roughtrax when I picked up my axle seal kit from them. I believe I paid £37 for it, good deal. My scanner is not working so I can't post a pic unfortunately, but I guess you need to get the kit anyway so might as well get it from them?

did you change the seals yourself.......how involved is it.

not that it scares me, just dont want it sitting in bits for 2 long :D

I will be changing the seals myself, but I am willing to live with the slow leak until the weather warms up a bit and there's more light. Seals still in box till then! BTW I may have lost significant oil from the front diff now so I don't use 4x4.

cheers very much....mine has just started leaking as the mud around the seal is showing as a damp patch......

just hope it all comes appart easy enough

No probs.

It doesn't look too bad to do. Yours sounds ok, mine is flinging oil onto the tyres, then on to the arches... Pretty far gone.
