Tte Springs

Hi,

Last year I purchased a set of new TTE springs for my Avensis (2000 2.0SR 4 door). I got them on eBay for £16 for all 4!

I still haven't fitted them yet as I'm not sure what it will do to the ride.

Does anyone have any experience of these springs? Do they make much difference?

Also, can I use the original shocks with these springs?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have experience using TTE springs but for that model car I know they drop the height by 30mm and are designed to be used with origional shocks. You can check this out on www.tte.de

Cheers - I should've thought of that earlier!

I was wondering if it was worth the bother of fitting them. I'm keen to try and improve roadholding on the twisty stuff, however I don't want to ruin the ride quality.

please let me know how its driving after mounting them. I'm also considering lowering 25mm with original shocks. Can you also post a picture of your car after lowering?

Hi ,Please fit the springs .I bought a set of eBay and never looked back .I run 17 rims on 215/40 tyres and the ride is firm but still comfortable .The car corners much better with no bottoming out ,go for it

iv got TTE springs fitted on my 2000 sr d4-d and it transformed the handling! if your a keen driver then they are well worth the money and hardly affect the ride. iv changed the rims to 16 inch toyota wheels and put 215 profile tyres on and it all runs fine!

Only thing worth noting is that there is only 1 genuine toyota TTE spring kit for all avensis (T22 shape) models and thet are designed for the relatively lightweight petrol engine models in mind as my diesel sits a bit nose down.........still a million times better than original though!!!! :-)
