T25 T3s Alloy Question

I've got a 55 plate Colour Collection Avensis and some eight spoke alloys from a T3-S. What length of nuts should I use (short or long)? As in, are the short ones too short and will the long ones project from the surface of the alloy?

Think I've answered my own question! :D Short, if the Toyota Docs are anything to go by. Long look like they're for wheels with deep (over 1") nut recesses.
