my sister has a rav4 NRG thats lowered on springs i think.

anyway. whilst i was in the back of her car on the way to london today i started to feel something that she had been complaining about for months.

The back end feels really light and bouncy and i'm thinking that its the dampers that have gone as it feels like the spring is compressing and de-compressing but dont really feel rebounding force from the damper round corners and bumps etc.

I checked the dampers for leaks and the springs to see if they have come out of their seats but everything is normal.

i dont know if people have had this problem before but woould really appreciate any help given.

If you get the chance to a bounce test ,just like an MOT tester would do, go to each conner of the vehicle give it a good push downward then let go and see the vehicle rebound, if the shock asorbers are in good condition the vehicle should settle after 2 or 3 bounces.

Also if you think the vehicle has been lowered, it could have a faulty set of springs on it or be to low a rating for the vehicle......good luck  .
