Ignition Key Wont Turn

I have just tried to start my 98 landcruiser colarado and my ignition key will not turn, the steering lock has come off but the key will not turn ,sprayed some wd40 into barrel and tried two more keys but they will not turn.Feels like the key is going to snap its solid.

might sound daft but its not cos the steering lock is not disengaging is it have you tried rocking the steering wheel. sometimes if the road wheels are is in lock you need to pull the steeing wheel around a bit to be able to release the steering lock while moving key

Is it a automatic, if so have a play about with the gear shifter.

I removed all the cowling from around the ignition switch ,turn the switch to acc if it will not go this far hold a small pice of wood against the switch and tap with a hammer ,once you can turn the key to acc you then push down the small pin on top of barrel with a allan key and pull and waggle the key and the whole barrel will come out I then claened it with wd 40 till it was all free dried it of and put a drop of oil in ,its seems to work fine or pay 250 for a complete str lock with two keys from toyota Lenny
