Diagnostic Help Please

the abs light is coming on in my dads avensis, can anybody give me any help as to how i can diagnose what is specifically wrong? ie. where the plug is, which to pins i connect the codes etc. would it be the brake pads as they are only a few thousand miles old and are extremely squeaky... the car is a 98 and has only covered 37,000 miles :drool:

edit: i found some info about checking which wheel its at but i cant find the connector does anybody know where it's located pics would be very handy

by the way its a 1998 1.8 gls 7A-FE engine
