Advise Needed Please

Hi!

I have FINALLY got round to getting a quote for the damage caused to my car in a carpark months ago.

The guy said i need a new left hand wing front, costing £61.38 (plus vat).

The plus point is it only needs bolted on. The downer is that adding the fitting/painting etc it comes to over £400.

Obviously i will shop around, but can anyone recommend a garage/body shop thats hopefully cheaper for the painting/labour? Central Scotland preferably!

Would i be better buying the part myself, and finding somewhere else to paint/fit it? I might be able to get the part trade price.

Any help is muchly appreciated!

The price for the wing doesn't sound to bad ..... however the fitting/painting does.

Might be worth creating a post in the general section about finding a decent garage in Scotland to do the job for you

I would personally DIY and not go through Mr T with his high rates

You say the price of painting/fitting/labour is high, how much would you say would be a decent price all in, including the part?
