Carbon Emissions

Hi there,

As soon as i've sold my flat I'm going to finally buy an original type RAV 4 - been wanting one for years!

Just wondering what the carbon emissions are like on a 2L 3 door T reg ( or thereabouts)?

Don't know, but if your worried about taxation a T reg comes under the old way of taxation. The emissions led tax came in for vehicles post 2001.

Hi Rich,

Yes that was my concern so many thanks for letting me know T regs are exempt. For what it's worth I found this article on the bbc website with indications on what a post 2001 RAV 4 might be taxed (Band F) at after this year's budget but I guess we'll find out soon enough...!

Regardless of emissions, vehicles register before March 1st 2001 and above 1549cc, the VED from today will be

2007 - £180, 2008 - £185, 2009 - £190

Ah, ok many thanks (I think...!) for that Anchorman. I will factor that cost into my annual running costs. good to be prepared!
