1/4 Mile Times

Well, three of us went to Crail today and went on the strip. I have never done this before so I have no idea if the time is good, bad or average..

The best of my times for today was 15.67.

Mods - Unichip, Magnex Catback exhaust.

No doubt the others will be along soon and post their times up to.

A huge thanks to Davy and Caroline for trusting me with their car for a couple of runs (and lolage at Ryan...).

Why they insist on digging up BOTH major routes through Scotland at the weekend at this time of the year I will never understand...

all standard apart from the Unichip I only did another two runs after that but never picked up the tickets (Too busy doing charity runs ;) )

Ryan vs BMW 318ti

Diesel showdown. The one with the 1/2 litre advantage, stripped interior and additional 1/4 miling mods won. Have to admit to liking it... (intercooler spray, y'say...)

It did feel a little bit like piloting a bathtub when I was in the queue* (simply because I wasn't used to the proportions) but it was really good. I did like it. Quite a lot. What a shame I had to wear a helmet...

Best time in the '2 was somewhere in the low 16s (I forget exactly).

Ryan got PWNED by the security !Removed! and we were told to stop swapping cars. Mine threw a CEL again, but its off again now (its to do with idling in the queue - heat shield for the A'Pexi and cold air feed should help I think.)

Cheers once more to Davy, Caroline and Ryan - its the folks, not the cars, that make the meets. Lets do it again sometime

PS I (and the car) may suck at 1/4 miling, but I did enjoy the drive there and back. Amazed at how much firmer my car was than Ryan's Tein-equipped TS - just the push-test confirms that!
