Hi,

I own an Avensis 1998, 2.2 L (originaly 2.0L) engine and I had run 200,000 miles with no serious problem.

I have noticed already 2 years ago that the rubber cushions on top of the front suspension (and shocks) are torn or cracked. It did not cause any problem so far but I would like to replace them with the newer type of cushions use on Avensis 2002 (the last model of my version). These new type cushions also give dust protection to the pistons of the shock absorbers. They seem competible but I need to be sure.

Did anybody had this problem?

Does anyone have access to Toyota to give a definite answer?
