You don't need uprated internals and if you get it fitted in Germany at TTE they map your ECU for you!

I think kimi ended up getting an uprated clutch on her car to handle the extra power

Yeah but the standard one lasted over 12 months.

Yes i have the TTE charger had it fitted at TTE back in jan 2005,

and yes i have a Helix organic clutch fittted this year.

The charger comes in with a kick so within 6 months the standard clutch started to slip,

its so much better with the Helix clutch fitted.

No uprated internals needed with the compressor, TTE told me its fine upto 150bhp

if i decide to go over that then i'd need to look at uprating stuff.

Any one know what wouldn't fit from the blitz kit, as it's a few hundred £££ cheaper than the TTE.

TDI have never fitted one and can't give a price on fitting, they contacted TTE and they said about 8.5 hours fitting time due to the small engine bay of the yaris, and TDI also say they may fit it a bit quicker as it's very similar to another supercharger from a lexus is200.

Anyone know what TTE do with the ecu, do they remap it or is there a piggyback ecu.

I think they just remap the standard ECU.

The GReddy supercharger is another option! B)

I'm getting mixed views on superchargers now.

The greddy one matty has needs the greddy e manage mapped to run.

The blitz runs without engine management as I have been speaking to yaris wrc about it as he had one.

Does that mean it will be faster once the ecu has been done or does it not need the ecu mapping.

Hi guys

Wrote to TTE and here is the mail I got back from them:

Hello Mr. Pearson,

thank you for your inquiry.

1. A new piggyback ECU is included in the kit.

2. you do not have to remap the original ECU

3. please find attached the installation manual

If you need any further infos please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Kind regards,

Betreff: Questions about TTE Compressor for Toyota Yaris T-Sport

Hello

I have just recently bought a Yaris P1 facelift 1,5 T-sport from 2005.

And I have a few questions I was hoping you could answer regarding the TTE Compressor kit. Which you make for my car.

1: Does the ECU need remaping, or is there a piggyback ECU with the kit??

2: If there is a piggyback for it. Then I don’t need to do anything with the original ECU??

3: Is it possible for you to send me the installation manual for the kit as a PDF file, so that I can review it before commencing on the project??

Looking forward to your answers.

Kind regards

Christian Pearson

Out of interest, what sort of 0-60 time does you Yaris now do Kimi?

TTE quote 7.9, but that may be to 62mph, if that's the case the proper 0-60 may be more like 7.5
