Well, had it since last Wednesday, I've done 110 miles around town (with one trip out of town) and I've only lost 2 bars. I would have filled up by now with another £40 if I was still in my Escort!

Fun & cheap to run!

It's the reason I bought mine, as the insurance group 7 is very desirable, as I lost my NCB last year (Had a group 15 car at the time, and wanted something cheap to build up NCB again)

All good fun... Got another 150 or so miles to do tomorrow - Hope there's some lorries to sail along behind in the draft! I've got about 1/3rd of a tank left now, I wonder if it can be done....

I'll let you know tomorrow!

Glad you're enjoying yours Dunix! I love mine, the only part I didn't like about mine was the handling but I've had mine lowered (Just £150 Tein S-Tech springs) and strut-braces fitted (front & rear) and it is so much better!

Will my insurance go up with those modificiations snellgrove?

I have also noticed the breaks aren't as sensitive as my escorts. I have to really push to stop sometimes, or I stop really sharply. I guess it's cos I'm not used to the breaks yet? It was Toyota Approved and Serviced before I got it, so the breaks are fine.

I'm on half a tank now, drove like an idiot on the country lanes (under the speed limit mind you!) and had a wale of a time.

Mine brakes feel similar - you have to get used to how they feel or ... you can change the standard pads or even brake Discs to make them feel more sensitive. Also a new brake fluid eg DOT 5.1 could help.

I've got disc brakes already... are those not standard? The garage told me the car hadn't been modified.

Yep, they are standard.

As for the being able to drive sensibly.....move to Devon, can't get anywhere near the speed limit at this time of year. :(
