I have one on my 2001 D4 VVT-i avensis

Works well only £44, less than 4 orginal items from Toyota!

Similar construction to the items you can buy From TRD for Yaris/Corolla etc.

I'e aslo added a cold air feed from the front bumper, straight to the airbox. easy to do.

Works well -> what can you notice? Improved fuel econ, better response?

i'd leave well alone unless you plan to completely rework the air box and put a cold air feed in.

depending which tests you look at, these filters don't filter as well which is why you get a better airflow. they may claim to be washable and last forever, but after they've been cleaned a few times the filtration gets even worse.

Also, you may have to declare it to your insurance as a performance modification. sounds silly but if you don't they may refuse a pay out.

if you have to have one, consider the TRD ones.

if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

i'd agree. The difference is so small, if anything, in my experience, it is more of a mental thing. You think you have bought a performance enhancement and so you want it to make a difference. Save yourself £30+ and buy a normal air filter for £6.
