Avensis Radio Interference ...

Hi guys, Not sure if this is just related to the toyota but I'm getting this high pitched sound from my radio on FM every now and again when driving ... Sounds like interference ... Its on all channels ... CD's play fine ... With no external arial fitted I'm not sure where to start looking ... Hoping it may be a DIY repair because its intermitant and the chances are a garage won't notice it ... Anyone come across this before ?
