Hi guys, I have just stumbled across your forum whilst trying to find somewhere to buy some spark plug leads.

Now, after reading a few threads, I wonder if my problem may not be leads but fuel injectors.

When the engine warms up it seems a bit lumpy? and doesn't pull away very well but quickly clears it's self again(sorry I am rubbish at describing symptoms).

Any ideas, and is there an easy way to diagnose the problem, also where are the injectors???.

I am sorry for all the stupid questions, but I am without the aid of a Haynes manual.

Beware, now that I have found your lovely forum, I may have more questions :P

Thanks Pru

Sorry forgot to say it is for a 1996 Carina 1.8CD

The injectors on the Carina are quite prone to gumming up, its the residue left over from fuel that leaves a varnishy deposit inside the injector, try buying some injector cleaner from a motor factor, you put it in the fuel tank and run it normally over a tank full of fuel. If that does'nt work, get it looked at, lol. It is quite a common problem and should be cured easily
