Adding A Toyota Cd Auto Changer To A Single Toyota Cd Player

Hi all,

I have a Yaris sol (year 2000) with radio and CD player (single CD unit)

Here is the (dismounted) head unit:

Now, I've got a CD CHANGER coming from another Yaris that has gone in paradise (crashed), but the CD CHANGER is intact:

I would like to use this CD changer instead of the one installed on my yaris.

I dismounted the head unit and checked the cables on the back of the actual radio/CD player:

According to the picture above, the cable coming from the CD CHANGER fits perfectly with the socket on the right (connector with pink and cyan cables).

I tried to connect the cable from the CD CHANGER to this socket and it seems to get alive (I can listen to it doing some activitis with the inserted CD);

but I can't control it; when I select the CD source from the dash board nothing happens.

I still can listen to the radio and use the trip controls.

Perhaps the plug with the pink and cyan cable need to go somewhere, but where?

Have I to connect the two cables to the CD CHANGER cable (to make them go to the same pin they were before unplugging them)?

Please don't tell me that the CD CHANGER is not compatible :( ; I would die!

Any suggestion will be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
