Missed Recall?

Hi,

I have an '03 Avensis which I have had from new, recently the engine management light came on and the fault proved to be P0420 - which means (so I'm told) that I need a new cat converter and ECU software upgrade. I have subsequently seen it reported - whilst Googling the problem - that there was a recall from Toyota on this very fault. Does anyone know if this is true - I certainly didn't receive one - although since the car was originally a lease vehicle it's possible it got lost.

Second question I guess is, if it was indeed a recall can I still have to work done, unlikely I suppose but this is an expensive fix....

Any help / information would be welcome.

Ian

That's strange, nothing about headlights mentioned in there.

Thats because the Avensis headlamp condensation isnt a recall matter. It is/was only a technical bulletin from TGB that if it is noticed when servicing/VSR check

or the customer was unhappy with the condensation the units shouldbe replaced as long as within the correct time/mileage period.

Mart. :)
