I bought my current, and first Toyota a 1993 L Plate 2 litre Carina E that has a 'made in Japan' sticker on the windscreen in June 2006. I don't do many miles, and it motors along quite nicely when required.

I understand that the Carina E was mainly built at Burnaston, but I think some early ones were imports before production ramped up there properly.

I wanted a cheap dependable car that I could leave outside, as a previous old 'project' was vandalised :(

Here as the Carina has just failed. So off to leave a post. :(
