;) Looking for a replacemnet 1600cc engine for a 1986 MK 2 Carina Its for an Auotmatic, I'm not sure if there is any difference between the Manual and Auto and would welcome any knowledgable coments about the why's and wherefore's of if a manual engine would fit or not. Its needed fairly urgently so

The only difference between the manual and auto engine is that the auto is fitted with a torque converter instead of a flywheeland clutch. If you source a manual engine simply take the whole flywheel off and replace it with the torque converter off your old engine
