Off the peg widow wipers are £1:49 in Wilkinsons(If you live in the UK)and come in 12",14",16" sizes etc.

Toyota have been cunning and their wipers are 12.5",14.5",16.5" etc and about 20-25 quid for the whole unit.

When you need a new wiper, get your ***** down Wilkinsons and by one which is longer than the one you need to replace.

Remove the rubber part from the assembly and cut it to the correct length then thread it on to the original sliders then put it back in the old holder.

A bit fiddley but only takes 10mins and saves you 20 quid

And next week Lusty will be describing how to replace a cracked windscreen using only clingfilm, selotape and sticky-backed-plastic!

Seriously - well done Lusty, some good info there!
