Avensis Turn Ign Key Then Nothing

Avensis y reg. I turn ignition key and nothing. Have removed casing aound steering column, if I waggle wires about the engine starts. Any ideas what it might be.

Bad connection / broken wire. Start by making sure that all the connectors around the steering column are good and tight.

If you do not feel too confident about fixing it yourself a trip to a local Auto Electrician may be the best bet.

Same thing happened to me. Was intermitent fault, so I traded it in for a newer Avensis. ;)
