Does any body know or had expierience with these.

I have found on the net a chip that can be fitted that will increase bhp by 30%, torque and reduce fuel consumption, sounds to good to be true.

has any one ever done this? can it cause any damage?

thanks

In my experience 30% increase in torque does two things, firstly it will black smoke and secondly, by the very nature of how they work, will overfuel the injectors and use more fuel. HOWEVER That said, with a little less increase in torque (20%) you can gain more power AND get a slightly better MPG. The secret is not to go overboard with the power increase, they all work by kidding the injector to allow more fuel through, but with careful driving, and using much lighter throttle settings, you can get a better MPG. It is all about how you drive it and no two drivers are the same, but I have satisfied customers who like how the chip works and the better MPG.
