Hi Everyone,

I have just joined the forum because I am about to import an MR-S from Japan to the UK and I was hoping to get some recommendations for insurance. I have had a look at compare.com and it was coming up as £1,080 per year with a £450 excess. I am 23 with 1 years no claims and i have held my license for just under 2 years.

If anyone can recommend any insurers or anything I can do to get the insurance cheaper then that would be great! Also any tips with brining an MR-S over here would be great. The cars I am looking at are going to auction over the next few days so I'm pretty excited!

if you only had your licence 2 years then it will most likely be that expensive. your still a relativily new driver, plus with how the economy is i think it won't be helping with your quote.

im 23, female, have 4 year NCB and my insurance costs 300 on my UK mr2. id expect to pay quite a bit more for an import version id imagine.

try the usuals direct - elephant, admiral, bell direct, adrian flux
