Toyota Avensis D4d T3s Cuts Off

hello friends

i have avensis d4d t3s i was driving on ring road when sudenly the car cut its speed down dramaticly with revs cuming down to 2000 almost

the engin managment light also came on.i switched of the car and re started it was all ok. but the warning light remained on, i disconected the Battery re conected

it back that settled the warning light. but it keeps doing it from time to time, every so often, its bugging me any ideas wat it mite be, how can i make it right so

the car runs to its best,.

please somebody help...................

as per my feelings - such problem might arise due to electricity problem that governs HP fuel pump.

you've comon rail with P=constant -- in case this P is dropped sharply then you can face to this problem.

Check with the HP pump control circuit. Re engine management light -- it also can be ON due to aforesaid problem.

WHen you restart the engine the problem is disapeared, as you stated. Start to investigate.
