4runner & Hilux Hitch

Hello everyone,

If this has been asked already, I apologize, but I'm brand new to this forum and am trying to figure my way around. I have a '98 Hilux here in Japan, and need to put a hitch on it. Does anyone know if the frame is the same on the Hilux as it is on the 4Runner models sold in the U.S.? If so, I can order one from a number of online companies. If it's different, can anyone recommend a good online place to order a hitch? I've asked around here, but unfortunately no one has a hitch on their trucks. I guess I'll be the only one pulling a trailer in my neck of the woods.

Well, anyone else from Japan, around Hiroshima? Care to share 4wd spots? I know of none, but would like to.

Thanks for the info. I suspected they were the same chasis and I'm glad to hear they are. :)
