I have the standard CD plater in my Auris.

The front of the player says MP3

I put some MP3's on a CD, but it wont play.

Am I missing something?

I put all the MP3 files on the root of the CD.

CD works fine when played on a PC.

It's not DVD right? Just saying, Auris only reads CDs. I never had any problems with MP3s with mine, no matter if all the files under the root folder, or different folders with album names and such.

Have you finalised the disc so it can be played in other players other than the pc?

How are you burning the disc? What software are you using?

I am using Windows Vista, but no CD burning software like Nero etc, I just right clicked on the MP3's and sent to CD.

As for finalising, need to try this out again, maybe I didnt tick a box or something...

i found the best way was to use windows media player and burn the mp3 files as "burn as data cd" which keeps the file format as mp3 when burnt to cd - if you do not do this the file will be burnt to cd as a .cda file - even .cda files should play though on your cd player though but not in same way mp3 files do in terms of size or id tags etc

I am not sure this really answers your query but it may help you or others
