Random question but on my way home on Friday my driver's side mirror appeared to fall off. Not had the car very long and they are checking today whether this will be included in the warrently. Otherwise its a whole £36. Just wondered if there where any similar problems out there. Cheers guys. C

Did the entire mirrorhousing come off or just the glass???

Just the glass. Can't decide if someone has walked along and yanked it off (probably to fix their own) or whether its just fallen off. No signs of damage at all.

That's of of the reasons why i'm checking on here. If its happened to someone else then i know its a fault, rather than been pulled off and then I can get it under warrenty, fitted while i'm at work and washed! Really don't think bits should be falling off a 3 month old car - i'd have bought the citroen for that :)

I've got a couple of extra mirrors for a project I'm working on and know for a fact

that the glass is fastened quite well... I had a lot of trouble getting it off the first

time, so I'm afraid someone's just nicked your mirror :(

Thanks Jan,

Looks like I might end up paying for it then. Surprised none of my neighbours noticed though, not a very busy road and it can't have been while I was at work. They owe me a few favours at the dealership, so i might just smile sweetly!
