i've got a toyota hilux and although it looks good i'm having problems with low power and lots of black smoke. I've been told its probably the fuel pump electrics and will cost a forutne to repair.... although nobody seems to be able to confirm this. It's got 2 new batteries and the injectors have been reworked. Its in excellent condition.... can anybody shed any light ??? Don't want to spend MORE money on it so if anybody wants to buy it, it'd be great for spares or a project!

Is there a cold start valve or solenoid, has this been checked
