Short question,

Anybody knows if the original Citroën/Peugeot roofspoiler fits on the Aygo?

Here's a picture of it.

No unfortunatley the hinges are in different places to the aygo

Ok, as I thought then.

I really like the way it's mounted instead of the Toyota version which is screwed and glued directly to the roof.

  • 3 weeks later...

How much does it differ in length between the Citroën/Peugeot and the Aygo backwindow hinges? Is it totally inpossible to mount the C1/107 roof spoiler?

Totally impossible, there's about 4 to 5" of difference if I remember correct.

We just happened to take a tape measure to the hinges at our last meeting.

I believe the Aygo has 86cm in between and the 107/C1 just 73cm or so...

Jan

Thanks for the informtion.

Anyone knows if there is possible to buy a roof spoiler for Aygo from 3:rd part?

The is virtually no lift-off oversteer with an Aygo's Handling (I think the Citroen AX was the worst ever offender in this respect). Dynamically, it's very well behaved in the corners. Yes, the spoiler looks nice, but I wish I could ignor it's limited functionality (in order to justify buying it).

One thought I have is to cut the 107/C1 spoiler in half and reduce it in length (with the "13 cm or so") and then put it all together again and paint it.

May that be a solution for the problem in difference of the length? Or is the angle of the hings also wrong?

Ehm... 86cm is MORE than 73cm...

You need a LONGER spoiler for the Aygo...

The angle seems pretty much the same, but we didn't realy look at that.

What MIGHT work is getting TWO spoilers and cut them both a bit offset

to add the approx. 5", but it would be quite expensive and not as sturdy...

Ah, sorry.

I think I go for the Toyota original spoiler instead.

Maybe some 3rd party stylingmaker can develop a copy of the C1/107 spoiler for the aygo in the future..
