2001 Rav4 D4d Turbo Malfunction Ecu Error Code

Hi guys im new here in the posting to the rav4 section would usually be seen in the gt4 section.

i am looking for some help or some knowedge from anyone who has any to offer to me.

Basically our rav4 d4d 2001 vx has started to al of a sudden loose power and then kangaroo jump and then the car locks out and goes into limp home mode.

Th car has had its ecu read by the fault diagnostics computer machiene at my mates garage and the error code is turbo charger malfunction.

I have read through many of posts on here but am a tad unsure where to go now with this or what to do as the turbo works fine but its obviously not working correctly.

has any one got any ideas as what to do to get this sorted many thanks dan

Hi Dan and welcome to the heavy industry section!

Your problem often turns out to be very expensive because repair garages often end up throwing everything at it but there are a number of associated valves and switches which can also contribute. Do you know specifically what the code was?
