T180 Reversing Camera-again

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

After my last post the topic went off the boil a little bit, discussions took place about having the need to have the camera and driving ability.

Anyway i'm beginning to think, do they really exist? Schm advised me the wiring was already in place but my 2006 T180 does not have the camera fitted.

Are there any T180 owners out there with the elusive Toyota camera fitted?

If so can you post a picture of it on the forum?

Have you noticed the silver garnish above the number plate on the new XTR's, I'm at my dealer in a few days time and I'm thinking of pricing it up if it is available, pimp my T180 up a bit at the rear door!!!

Anyone purchased one already, I would imagine they are stuck on like the old rear light protectors were.

Cheers ;)

There would appear to be a Toyota part number for the camera assembly:

You could ask Kingo (Parts King) if he has this in his parts catalogue and if so how much. You may need to be sitting down for the price though. It will probably be a good deal more than the aftermarket (off ebay) ones that people like JHRC and Darkside fitted.

A genuine Toyota camera will probably be insane money compared to one without a 'T' Badge and which could be connected into the loom - I can't imagine the signal will be anything other then a composite video
