1st Service Soon

Hi, :D

my auris is due for its first service soon,

i've done 10k in 6 months so its come around quite soon.

this is my first 'new car' and i have no idea what they look at.

i'm just wondering what will be done and what the average cost of it is.

any advice appreciated.

First service is a full visual check and oil/filter change/tyre pressures/torque wheels. No removing wheels etc

Not sure on price, it will differ between dealerships - we get 0.4hr for doing a 10k svc (it takes longer than this overall but i have been told this is the time set to keep the cost to the customer down)

0.4hr ??? read this:

I rang a dealer near to me in Elgin who quoted me £90 - fair enough.

However, I rang the dealer in Aberdeen where I originally bought the car from - they wanted £150!!!! For 0.4hr labour, oil and a filter! I emailed them to say I could get it done at the competition for £90 and would they reduce their price - surprise surprise, no reply.

The Aberdeen dealer is 35mls away, the Elgin one 50mls. Guess I will drive the extra 15mls and save £60.
