Rav4 Changing Headlamps For European Driving

Hi

I live in France and purchased a right-hand drive RAV 4 2006 XT4 model in the UK a couple of months ago. I have to change to French registration plates which includes making sure the lights are suitable for European driving. I currently have the stickers you buy in the UK to put onto the lights to change the direction of the beam. With older cars I've had to replace the headlamps themselves but someone told me here that with newer cars I might be able to just flick a switch. Anyone know if I can do with with this RAV4?

Thanks,

Karen

New headlamps I am sure - at least on the RAVs (never heard of any 'switchable' headlamps like that myself)

eBay is usually a good source of replacements and you can always sell the old ones to get some cost back.

Thanks Hoovie. Good idea about selling the old ones.

RHD in Europe...so now you go to the Mc Drive in reverse?

Look for used ´abroad´ or ´overseas´ lights on eBay UK.

I found a pair of almost new ones for a bargain.

And better look for original OEM ones, no imitation like ´DEPO´.
