Hi

Ive got some scratches on the dash above the glove box where my young kids have been kicking it (little %$(ers!)- the scratches arent too deep but i'm struggling to get them out (tried a few products)

Any ideas gratefully taken on board !

Cheers

Nat

P.S hopefully we will be getting a RAV 4.2 5 door from auction tommorrow if all goes according to plan - anyone on the lookout for a lovely rav 4.1 soft top with loads of extras ?!

If the plastic is gouged, then there's not much chance of recovering it to nearly new - if you start using an abrasive the surface effect will become smooth - or you could try some of the products for cleaning and shining/buffing the plastic trim. I've tried it and its not bad stuff....certainly makes things look the same colour!!

There are companies that specialise in such repairs;

Try googling for your area.

and keep those kids feet away from the new RAVs dash !!!!

Had scratches on my 4.2 dash from transporting fishing rods for a friend. Problem on these is that the dash is not just plastic but effectively a painted plastic surface. Was put in touch with a local interior refurbisher by my local toyota garage and was resprayed for basically peanuts. Lesson learnt NOTHING touches the dash on my 4.3 :D

Regards

J
