Fuel Trip Reset

Hi all,

I'm a recent first time Toyota owner and can honestly sat that so far I am impressed. I have a 55 plate Avensis

2.0 ltr T Spirit with pop up sat nav that is really impressive as well as useful, however, there is one thing that I cannot fathom at the moment.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to reset the fuel computor back to zero without having to put more fuel in the tank? If I select reset on the info screen the trip mileage is reset to zero but the average fuel consumption remains the same. This is irritating as I would like to know average consumption on particular journeys.

Any ideas?

Sonic

Not sure if it is the same as the earlier ones but try, toggle the display (with the 'trip' button on the earlier ones) till the average fuel consumption is displayed. Then press and hold the trip button until it beeps and resets to 0. This can be done with all items, Average speed to 0, average fuel consumption to 0 and range will be reset to whatever you have in the tank.
