This is the the fuel filtration system on my landcruiser and I think yours is very similar. The white canister is the fuel filter, the metal canister to the left is the pre filter and contains a smaller filter.

You can remove the filters on the vehicle but I prefer to unbolt the whole lot from the fender and replace the filters on the bench.

The black round thing on top of the fuel filter housing is the hand operated primer pump which is used to suck fuel from the tank to replenish the filter and fuel lines.

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

This looks nothing like my one so I still don't know where it is.

Can anyone else help?

LOL why dont you try a bit of investigation? Do something brilliant by following some fuel lines. Sooner or later you will hit the jackpot

On the petrol models the filter is under the floor, so just trace the fuel pipe back through the chassis.

Cheers Andy,

Found the filter spot on under the floor pan as you suggested.

Does the pressure in th fule lines need to be relieved before replacing the fuel filter - if so how do I do this?
