2008 Ford Ranger gets 2 Stars in the Euroncap crash tests. Almost 2 tons of metal folding around you isn’t healthy! Bigger isn’t always safer

Its not really suprising as a lot of the pickups are very basic under the bling on the outside, the Navara only got 1 or 2 stars on its NCAP test.

I wonder if this will make the aggressive drivers who drive them calm down a bit

It's a bit of an obvious title for this thread though.

The Titanic was pretty big you know !

Was that the same one Clarkson tried out on Top Gear once ?

Do you mean the red one? If so that was an F150, still a pile of yank junk IMO

Thats against an immovable concrete block though....

Sure there are concete things about to hit... but It would be interesing to see a head on impact between a 2 star hick-up and "high rating" tiny shopping car!

The main reason that SUVs and trucks are usually a false security is because they are x many times more likely to end up shiney side down....

I still miss my surf though :(

Here are the FULL RESULTS FOR FORD RANGER

I noticed this gem

There was insufficient pressure in the airbag to prevent the head from contacting the steering wheel.

Chocolate fireguards spring to mind

Kingo

It’s a poor show from such a big manufacturer that their latest model gets only a 2 star rating in crash tests.

Looking forward to seeing the iQ results
