Iq Mud Flaps And Exhaust Trim

In case anyone has been wondering how the official MrT iQ mud flaps, and exhaust embellisher (for use without the rear skirt) look, here are some pictures of the ones on our car.

Unfortunately it is a gloomy day and the pictures could be clearer, but I think you can see enough.

All very easy to fit and bought from Parts-King ,who is a frequent contributor to this and other Toyota forums.

I like the exhaust (ive ordered the isports which has it) but it looks odd on its own without the rear lip! Nice though, and makes me want mine even more!!

There are two exhaust finishers, one for fitting with the rear skirt and one for without.

This is the one for fitting without the skirt.

Like the Aygo the exhaust tailpipe, as standard, is as good as invisible when looking at the rear of the car and I always like to see a bit of exhaust pipe!

It's a bit art Deco-ish, which I like, but won't appeal to everyone

What is the difference between the exhaust finisher for the body skirt and the one without? I have just had the isports kit fitted by my local Toyota dealer but I think that they have fitted the wrong exhaust finisher as it looks a bit on the big side. Is one smaller than the other?

These are the installation docs for the two finishers, so you can compare them.

Hopefully my playing around with the "attachment" button has worked!

Wow fast response thanks Johnan - I have checked the part numbers from your pdf docs to my invoice and it does show the correct exhaust for the rear skirt.

At least I know I have the right one.

Many thanks.

Can the exhaust pipe add-on be bought on it's own without all the other extras?

Yes, send Parts-King a PM for info.

He may read this and reply anyway!

Thanks -- someone else tells me there is a chrome antenna too :D

Not heard of that one, I'm afraid!

I've not seen that tail pipe finisher before, mine is a triangular shape.

Are those Toyota parts or aftermarket ones from somewhere else?

from a general car accessories store. Got some chrome valves for the tyres too! Nothing is permanent so comes off easily

I've ordered the finisher for the rear skirt for my IQ3 and the part that arrived doesn't look like it's long enough ?

it's labelled on the box as PZ467-I9491-00

doesn't look long enough to match the exhaust trim for skirt manual pdf ?

I've found one on eBay and this is in the item descrition:

TOYOTA PART NO. PZ467-I0490-00

OR PZ467-I9490-00 (WITH REAR SKIRT)

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEW IQ3 1.33 ENGINE

Hopefully this will help you narrow it down as to whether you've got the correct part or not.

just fitting my rear mudflaps (the fronts went on fine)

however the top clip and srew thingy I got supplied doesn't match the instructions from toyota techdocs

also does the clip go on the body of the car or go around the mudflap ?

if i put it round the car then the supplied screw doesn't fit and if i put it around the mudflap then it can't clip around the car ?

any tips from someone who has fitted them would be great plz

Amazingly clean engine bay there John. How do you manage to keep it so gleaming? Even the connections on the hoses and so on are like new? However, I am confused, you have a picture of a red iQ, but the pics showing the mud flaps and end-pipe embellisher are on a white iQ. Have you changed your car recently? Does that explain the gleaming engine bay? I keep wondering about the plus points of fitting mud flaps, I was informed a while back that they don't stop the side of the car getting dirty and don't really help anything but the looks, coz, they do look good.
