Mot Windscreen Crack ?

I was looking over my daughters car as her mot is due and i noticed that on the windscreen there is a tiny chip and a small crack about 3mm long its infront of the driver in the field of view, will this be an automatic fail or not? it is only small.

3mm should be OK

Remember that a 3mm crack will soon "grow" and could also cause damage to the wiper blade over a period of use.

Most motor insurances (but not all) will allow a "free" local repair

Yeah i have said all that to her but it go's straight over her head her policy is only third party ff so she is'nt covered.
