Auris Rattle

Posting to say I have experienced 2 annoying rattles...

Easy Fix for those of you who may still have it.

Inside centre console sounds like a squeak/creak

Fix: under the front passenger footwell below the dash is a plastic cover clip it back on.

Rattle at idle from outside of the car at idle or normal driving.

Fix: Exhaust heat sheild under rear muffler or centre of the car difficult to get to without putting the car on a ramp I just pulled it off with some effort. As I dont park on grass chances of the car catching fire are slim, though I know its better to have it as it obviously serves a purpose.

Hope this will help some of you out if you still havent got around to the rattle.

my heat shield has come loose too :( getting it sorted tomorrow

The heat sheild is there to stop the heat being transfered upwards to the floor panel or any cables , petrol /brake pipes above the exhaust pipe or silecer box.
